About Dan

I studied Industrial Design at Syracuse University. After graduating in 1998 with my BID I entered Army service as a 2nd Lieutenant and was stationed in Bavaria, Germany. I’ll add some more detail about this later, but it was a pretty fantastic learning experience leading soldiers and traveling throughout Europe. My wife Kate and I got married there in the rathaus by the bürgermeister. So cool.

I signed paperwork on September 11, 2001 to leave the Army because my term of service was ending. That was a strange day.

After teaching in NJ public High School I followed my wife to a little quaker boarding school in NH to teach kids fun stuff and live on an organic livestock farm. More about this later.

That led us to Walton, NY, where we started our own farm on family land. We do lots of awesome stuff here on the farm with our kids and their grandparents.
